Goodbye the Rule of Law in the UK

So it's over. The Serious Fraud Office has dropped its investigation into BAE Systems regarding alleged kickbacks paid to Saudi princes over their deal to buy jets. From the article: Lord Goldsmith consulted the prime minister, the defence secretary, foreign secretary, and the intelligence services, and they decided that "the wider public interest" "outweighed the need to maintain the rule of law".

How dark are these days?
